Homework:
When you go Christmas shopping, talk about what to do if you get lost.

January 25 Keylime Cove Indoor Water Park. Boys are free. All others are $16 each.

Tiger Cub Calendar

Christmas Party Tiger Cub Den

Hi Everyone,


We are going to have a great Christmas celebration at our home on December 17. The time will be 6:30-7:30pm. All family members are welcome to attend.


We would like every scout to learn a magic trick to show the group. Please practice and be ready.


We will also be creating some fun crafts to share with others and some crafts to bring home.


This is going to be a lot of fun. I hope you can attend.

November 19 Support our Apaches! We are going to see a basketball game at 6:30pm at Palombi School. There may be a fee of $1-$3 for entrance per person to support our teams.

Apache Boys' Basketball Game

In place of the play, we are scheduling a trip to support our school in a baskeball game. The date is 11/19 and the time is 6:30pm at Palombi School, 133 McKinley Avenue, Lake Villa.

Prince of Peace Church Grounds Clean Up Saturday

Saturday, October 25

(12pm-3pm) Cub Scout Clean Church Grounds at Prince of Peace. 12-1pm is cleanup and 1-3pm is hot dog lunch/orienteering. We could use adult help from 8am-12pm for cleanup of the wood pile in the back of the school. Come and go as schedule permits. Completes Elective 33 on page 127.

Practice & Learn (Page 29-34): Cub Scout Promise, Law of the Pack, tell what Webelos means, Cub Scout sign, Cub Scout handshake, Cub Scout motto, and Cub Scout Salute.
If haven’t already done this Parents please review the first few pages in the Tiger Cub Handbook and discuss the “what if” situations with your son(s).

Richardson Corn Maze, Saturday, October 4

For all who are interested, our adventure to Richardson Corn Maze is this Saturday, October 4 from 1-4pm. It'll be a lot of fun. I would recommend bringing a snack, water bottle, and good hiking shoes.

Let's meet at the front gate at 1pm.

If you are planning to attend, please let me know so we can know how many people to expect.

Pinewood Derby Change of Date

The date for the Pinewood Derby has changed from 9/11 to 9/18. Only the date has changed. The time is still the same.

Richardson Corn Maze - Change of Time

The time for the Richardson Corn Maze has changed to 1-4 on October 4. The date is still the same. Only the time has changed.

September 27 -28 Camping at Chain-O-Lakes State Park events beginning at 10am…Sleep overnight or stay for the day, come when you can. Info to follow...You must let me know if you
are planning to attend.

October 3 Pack Night 7 – 8 pm

October 4 Richardson Corn Maze from 1pm-4pm. Pack a sack lunch and bring a water bottle. This event will cover map and hiking skills (Requirement for Cub Scout Outside Activity Award), hiking skills (Requirement 5G), what to do if you become lost (Requirement 3Fb) and picnic fun (Elective 22). Each Tiger who attends will earn a patch too. Please reply by September 25 so we can take advantage of the group discount. (I will reimburse the difference if we have a large enough group.)

Achieve Elective #17 – A great way to spend time with your son and family is to attend a Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic. This Saturday, September 13 from 10am-11am they are hosting a workshop to build a ship. You can register online at http://www.lowesbuildandgrow.com/. If you can’t attend, they hold other workshops during the month too. Home Depot also holds free kids workshops too. The workshops are offered on the first Saturday of each month between 9:00am and noon at all The Home Depot stores. Don’t worry if you are unable to attend, this elective can also be achieved by building a pinewood derby car early next year.
